Hollow metal doors are a secure solution for points of entry in commercial and municipal buildings. Combining the inherent strength-to-weight benefits of cold rolled steel with ballistic-grade fiberglass , hollow metal security doors allow easy access for authorised personnel and a robust barrier to potential threats.
Armortex metal security doors comprise heavy gauge steel framing, starting at 16 Ga as standard. We supply 14 Ga and 12 Ga steel frames upon request for applications requiring higher tensile strengths. The doors themselves are composed of prime painted steel skins with channel-supported edges, plus ballistic armour inserts and insulation if applicable. These are mounted on heavy-duty aluminium continuous gear hinges upon the frames. The result is a premium security solution capable of matching all levels of bullet resistance (UL 1—10+).
We also provide options for viewing through doors without opening them. These include a choice of full lite, half lite, slim lite, and view lite bullet-resistant windows inset within the door.
